I’ve been checking out this new website for buying/sharing new music called Monkeybars. Those of you who know me, know that I am a social media geek and I strongly believe that not only is social media the most relevant way to spread information. I also applaud the use of social media in the arts because it comes with sort of a “quality assurance”. You wouldn’t share something with your friends unless you loved it. You, the audience, are now in the power position. If you like something, your own personal internet power can help that artist gain more fans. Take it from me, a fan base is created one person at a time, or one show at a time, or one share at a time. Every little bit helps!

The way Monkeybars works is that when you find music you like on Monkeybars and you share it on your social network(s), you are then rewarded with a credit toward more content from Monkeybars.
